Finally, Pluto transitions to Aquarius and the collective struggles to squeeze out a sigh of relief. Sure, gasp as gasp can. Withing the week Mercury goes retrograde. Great. And within a fortnight, Mars matches Mercury’s movement to conduct his own retrograde performance. Even more great.
Here we thought when Pluto inched over the Aquarius state line that things would be better. And now, with the M and M personal planets mixing it up, mind clutter leads to hesitation which leads to life log jamming. Where’s the relief?
Though life may log jam, the Universe does not signal Jam. In such times it multiplexes with matching intensity, seeking to modulate messes.
The day before Mars retrogrades, Mercury aligns with the Sun on the Great Attractor, marking the middle of the retrograde era. Though Mercury reversed has the reputation it does, this conjunction on 5 December is solidly communicative. This day is clear to conduct any transactional matters, verbal or written, and insists that any thoughts cycling about the brain be consecrated into some sort of concrete plan for physical manifestation. The Great Attractor brings within its unlimited energy profound insights. Specifically, the Great Attractor demands transparency, inclusion and solution-oriented realities that serve higher purposes over ego-gratifying objectives. Can there be a clarity-rich day in the midst the onslaught of misinformation and intentionally overwhelming output? Yes, but one must step back from the fray and set ones sole (soul) focus on those matters one knows in the marrow of their bones they must pursue. Then, contemplation of what should be the first step or the next continuing step can successfully be mulled and ushered into manifestation.
Mars retrograde moves to oppose the Sun on 15 January 2025. This opposition, similar to the Mercury-Sun conjunction indicates that Mars stands at the halfway point of his retrogradation. Here, one may proceed without penalties - with clear intent, of course - and progress another step closer to completing objectives. The lapse in collective resistence is brief, so make haste. The next step forward solidifies swiftly. Foundation can be set. Rightful claims to the ground upon which one stands tend not to be disputed. Now at this point, Mars travels Cancer. The point is to secure the nest, so to speak. Ensure no windstorm can uproot its hold to its foundation. The point is also to cultivate a sense of safety and security, such that one does not need to fear the resistance to ones efforts. Opposition happens. When new, pioneering steps are taken to advance sincerely progressive causes, in theory, resistance is natural. So is persistence. So is perseverance. So is personal formidability.
Since the recent presidential election, I have spent a heap of time pondering Chiron’s approach to Eris in Aries. Eris, was the goddess of discord... or is it dischord? If a member of a symphony hits a clunker of a note, what does that do the performance? The conductor will notice and likely expand the rehearsal schedules. Will other orchestra members be knocked off key? Will the audience notice such discordant rendering? If the audience notices, will it react? What can the audience do about a performance in progress? Are orchestra goers confined to submitting bad online views later? What does a crappy review do for a performance that already occurred? Is there any point?
There are some extremely difficult associations with Eris. Allegedly, she loved the piteous groaning of warriors dying on a battlefield. She savored conjuring mayhem everywhere she went. Why? According to lore, when she perceived herself to be excluded, she sought to even playing fields and extract infinite retribution. She sought to go well beyond equalization of the score and penalize all she perceived who wronged her.
In optimal reality, the cosmic agenda of Eris extends far beyond her pettiness and paranoid perceptions. Her north node is Taurus, her perihelion Libra, both Venus ruled signs. Eris’ nodal degrees contrasted with her perihelion degree are found to be in quincunx - an aspect that insists upon adjustment and correction to achieve long-range objectives.
What does this even mean?
For one thing, when the world is extra complicated and it seems the powers that be induce mayhem and more at every turn, one must rely upon inner instincts and sensibilities as if there is no tomorrow to ensure that there will actually be a tomorrow. The combined effect induces a series of questions all intended to securing the clear sense that you have a place at the table of your own life. Being at the table of life means offering a full skill set, and based upon those skills offering a full, solution based plan that cannot be denied, regardless of theological, social, political or any agenda-driven position. This does take honest answers to difficult questions.
In the real world, how much do you need? Is having more than enough justifiable?
Who do you need in your life to share your bounty, purpose and energy?
What stakes will you pursue to ensure your inclusion and manifest your karmic/dharmic urges?
Are you willing to be heroic?
Are you willing to compromise your principles?
Are you willing to go beyond the beyond?
How can you create perspective long enough for your agenda to be favorably perceived?
Finally, what elements of your creativity, skills, wisdom and all good things acquired in life can be combined into a superpower?
Fine. Refine that superpower and change the world in such a way that Pluto in Aquarius will rise from his underworldly domain and abundantly reward you... without making that a motivation, that is.
